Search is on for my third apprentice

I am looking to say ‘you’re hired’ for a third time by taking on my third parliamentary apprentice.

The successful candidate will work with me in in my parliamentary office and also attend events and visits with me in the constituency.

I became the first MP to employ an apprentice, when Andy Huckle took on the role for a year two years ago. Louis Luck, another Harlow College student, is currently working with me.

As regular readers of my blog will know, I am a staunch supporter of apprentices and apprenticeships and, working with Anglia Ruskin University, Harlow College and Princess Alexandra Hospital, I am leading the campaign for a new multi-million pound apprentice school in Harlow town centre.

Last year, I also launched an Apprentice Card with the National Union of Students and many training organisations, and recently learned that under the Conservatives the number of apprentices in Harlow had risen by 78 per cent.

Any students interested in becoming my apprentice for a year – and getting paid to work in the House of Commons and Harlow town – should email halfon4harlow@roberthalfon.com for more details.

promoted by Cllr Andrew Johnson on behalf of Harlow Conservatives.
